Hello folks here’s the announcement.
‘Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them and give thanks to the Lord’. Psalm 118.19
First, the good news. The government has announced that from Monday 15th June churches may – at last – open our doors.
The bad news is that it will be in a very limited and strictly controlled way.
We may open only for private prayer – essentially, you and your household – and, in order to ensure your safety, this must comply with hygiene procedures and social distancing, and be supervised. Also we have to follow a strict cleaning regime in between visits.
So for the moment we are able to offer the following: the church will be available for private prayer on Saturdays and Sundays by appointment. If you would like to make an appointment, please text Fr Richard on 07885 967 960 and he will arrange for him or Rev Jane to meet you at church.
As you can imagine, we are a long way from a return to normal, and this is far from ideal; but it is the first step towards the day when we will, as HM the Queen said, meet again, and sing our songs of praise again. Hasten the day!
Yours in Christ,
